RTE provides its « Inside Information Platform » (IIP) certified by ACER, which centralises inside information published by market participants.
In compliance with REMIT Regulation (EU) No. 1227/2011 on integrity and transparency in wholesale energy markets, market participants must publicly disclose any inside information they possess on a dedicated and ACER-certified platform since January 1st, 2023.
Until now, RTE has made available inside information published by French market participants on 4 pages of the Services Portal:
- Downtime of generation resources,
- Unavailability of the transmission network / NTC Impact,
- Additional information regarding generation,
- Additional information regarding transmission network.
To comply with the new requirements of the REMIT regulation, RTE opened its « Inside Information Platform » (IIP) on February 3rd 2025, available at the following link :
The aim of this platform is to centralise on a dedicated site the urgent market messages (UMM) published by market participants, in particular :
- Production Unavailability
- Transmission Unavailability
- Other Unavailability (Hydro Pumped Storage Unavailability, aFRR Chronicles, Pmin Chronicles),
- Other Market Information (additional information).
The Inside Information Platform of RTE was certified by ACER in December 2024. The new platform complies with :
- The minimum quality requirements for effective disclosure of inside information of the ACER Guidance on the application of REMIT (ACER Guidance),
- The ACER Manual of Procedures (MoP) on data reporting,
- The REMIT Guidance on the implementation of web feeds for Inside Information Platforms (REMIT Guidance on IIPs) to ensure operational reliability and efficient, effective and safe handling and exchange of information according to the REMIT Implementing Regulation.
The level of service offered ensures publication deadlines, data completeness and quality, and support the increasing amount of data. In addition, users can view and download inside information published by market participants without authentication.
NB : To accompagny the release of this new platform, RTE made a new version (V6) of the « Unavailability Additional Information » API available on the RTE Data Portal on September 20th, 2024. It’s possible to subscribe now to benefit from all the features offered by the new Inside Information Platform. This new version will allow you to retrieve the lists of production and transmission unavailabilities, as well as other information with an impact on the energy market, which are displayed on the new Inside Information Platform of RTE.
